Today is Sunday. And it was an amazing day! I got to have some really good talks, and everything just seemed to have Gods hand on it. It was very evident. It was smooth and no real problems. It was nice.
So the talk with one of the cadets started over a letter he wrote to a girl. He asked what I would think of it if I was a girl: If I would like it. I told him I wouldn't like it because it goes against my moral values. So the I had to explain what a moral value is, then I had to explain why according to the Bible he shouldn't be in a relationship. He wanted to read what the Bible said about it, so I told him to read Proverbs 1-16. And, he and his roommate did. They came back with many questions. But the one question that stood out in the conversation was, "what is a christian?". I explained how you are not a Christian just because you believe in Jesus and go to church. No, it's a life change. It's giving Jesus your hopes, dreams, desires, even your very life. You have to change your very actions! "If your saved and you know it, then your life will surely show it." This scared him. A lot. After saying all that he said, "So, I guess I'm not a Christian." I can't wait to see what God does with him! I pray he will come to a true knowledge of Jesus and truly give his life to Him!
