Day 30 --- the end.

Tonight is the last night of my challenge. It has been an incredible experience that I hope everyone gets to experience before they die. God has changed me so much from the man I used to be only 30 days ago. When I started this challenge I didn't know exactly what I was doing. I just saw a need to change my lifestyle so I cam up with this idea of a 30 day challenge. I also did not expect it to become as hard as it did. Which is good. Because if I had known back then, there is a good chance I wouldn't have started it. In my first post I said I would reveal what this challenge consisted of so the following is a list of the things I did on a daily basis.

Pray for 30 min, I started at 10.
Write on blog
Read 1 chapter of the Bible
Do one Bible study, consisted of the chapter I read for that day
Workout
No media, including video games, this was mainly for movies
No procrastinating, the hardest of them all
Read a chapter of a non fictional book
Limit amount of sweets/ junk food
Always be first to volunteer, second hardest of them all
Memorize 1 verse a day
Read a daily devotional
Prayer journal
Talk with one student
Personal journal

I didn't start with all of these at once. I only started with the first 9, then gradually added one about every two days.

I feel like I need to add a disclaimer. Please don't take this as me boasting or bragging. That would defeat the purpose of what this is intended for. I only put this on here so it might give you an idea of something that you can do to help further your own walk with Jesus. Nothing more. As iron sharpens iron. Also if you ever choose to do so etching similar to this, make it personal to fit your personal needs. This is what I needed at the time. You may need something entirely different. I want to thank each one of the people God surrounded me with during the challenge to help keep me strong and on the right path. I look forward to seeing what challenges God brings into my life in the years to come. I know this is only a glimpse, but it's still hard to believe what God can and will do. Again, Thank You!
