Day 28
Today's devotional was on Romans 8:26. "We do not know what we ought to pray for". The guy doing the devotional put it in a very understandable way how most of our problems as Christians can be traced back to to the answers of of prayers. Ex. If we pray to be unselfish, God gives us opportunities to sacrifice by placing other people's needs and problems before ours. We pray for strength and humility and "a messenger of satan" comes to torment us. We pray for patience and we get trials and temptations that stretch us until we think we are going to give up. Why does god let these things happen when we are praying for the opposite? You can only learn these things through the trials of their opposite. "But the trying of your faith worketh patience".
