For The Few Who Don't Know

This is for those who I have not yet been able to give my life plans to, in detail. Because it would seem that everywhere I go people want to know who I am, where I am going and why I am going. So this is to those people. I am only going to touch on the past 6 month for my history. I am going to do this because that is when I did the most changing, and when I got the most experience. I started my time at ALERT on Jan the 5th. I had desired the posision of unit leader but with no real experience in leadership. So I wanted it with selfish desires. I, at the time, did not really care about the lives of the people who would be under me. But within the first month of being there God broke me. And as a result I gained a relationship with those under me and with my father, that could not be said was ever there before! What started it was a couple of things, one was a desire for my self to grow in understanding and take my leadership seriously, and two, was the question/statement, "if our faith is a growing faith, and we aren't putting to practical application the Bible, then if our life does not show it, does that not mean that we are either living in sin or we were never saved in the first place?" it was this that got my attintion. Because I do believe that our faith is a growing faith, and when I searched my own life I could not say that I was growing in my own faith. My faith up to that point was just a "copy" of my parents faith. The Bible verse that I use as my moto for leadership is taken from 2 Timothy 2:2. That all came within the first two months of being at ALERT. the rest of my time there was spent putting to practice all the things in the Bible that we are commanded to do. Now I am not saying that I got it right because God knows I had my fairs are of failures. But I can say that I did have my succesess and that my life did change. Now some of the people around me say that it won't last, but they are basing it only on my past. I say stick around and see what God has done in my life. During all this I was doing PC, or Property and Facility care 1. Basically what I did was just lawn maintenance and a lot of mechanics. I did everything from creating file lines from scratch for tractors to replacing pistons and cylinders on small engines. Now as far as my future goes. I will be going back to ALERT tomorrow, but this time I will be the wing leader for ERT. In ERT the men will be getting a cross training in a variaty of different emergency service operations. I won't be training in anything this time I will just be the leader for them. I will however have to give a wisdom search almost every day, so that will be very challenging! After I get done at ALERT I have been given an offer by brother Ronnie that I may except. He said that if I was interested in firefighting that if I wanted to he would provide me with room and board as well as a vehicle for me to use! If I don't take that offer, then I will be going to the fire academy in Camden AR. That is assuming there isn't anything wrong with my knee. Which someone just told me they believed the problem with my knee could be a torn tendin. Which would mean either the chance that my knee could go out at any time, or it would mean knee surgery. But I am praying that it is neither and that God would heal me. So I think that about sums it up. Just keep reeding my blog for more updates! May God bless each and every reader!
